Watch out for Simi and Falz!

Simply called Simi, the artiste with a unique voice is making a great impact on the music scene in Nigeria. Peculiarities she has include her ability to mix pidgin English with Yoruba Language and tell stories from her renditions. Watching the video of her track JAMB Question you get a semblance of the old and the modern rolled into one. Such that it could be possible that Simi and her colleague Falz, the bad guy(Folarin Falana) seek to cut across contemporary and old school lovers of traditional music. The music is a sort of elevated high life which could be danced to and might just lure you to the dance floor. JAMB Question poses a lot of questions to the man with the odd pick up line and possibly warns of the consequences of just being and easy catch. Simi seems to have a gift of writing stories embedded in her lyrical content as we see similar talent occur in the tracks  "Love don't care and Soldier(which also has Falz the bad guy rapping his special style which is also a mixture of pidgin and Yoruba language  his rap as a soldier commands attention. It is laced with humor and picturesque images that captures the minds of the listener. The love Don't care track is Simi on her own recounting the challenges women have when the fall in love with people who do not meet their parents' approval.
Simi and Falz whether as a team or their own have unique talents and they are certainly artistes to watch.
